Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale

This past week, my mom and I had the opportunity to go stay in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort. We absolutely LOVED our time there. I've been to a lot of hotels on the Florida beaches and this one was by far my favorite! It's one of the only beachfront, boutique resorts on the Fort Lauderdale beaches, without A1A and traffic between the rooms and water! That is what we loved so much about it - you literally walk right outside - and you have sand between your toes!

This was our beautiful room! I was in shock when they told us at check-in that we were in a suite up on the 11th floor. I was so excited. Our room was very spacious and we have a living area and our King bed. It was so roomy and comfortable and the view of the ocean was truly magical. One morning I woke up and watched the sunrise and it was beautiful. Okay - back to the room, the beds were great. I know that's always a good question to ask, I hate a hotel with a hard bed, but these were very comfortable and we had a great nights rest. The bathroom was my mom and I's favorite little area. It was gorgeous! They also have the good lighting around the mirrors that help with putting on makeup. The doors to the bathroom were also barn doors and very modern. I loved them!

Also, I wanted to share about the pool. I didn't get any pictures of it, but it was so fun! They have a lazy river (which I heard was the only lazy river in FTL) whoop whoop! They also have a cute little ice cream shop right on the beach! Wish I would've taken advantage of that! ;)

We had the most delicious dinner at OCEAN2000 which is the restaurant inside the hotel. For one, look at this view. This was our view the entire dinner. We opted to sit outside because it was such a nice evening plus they had little heaters to keep us warm. We watched the sun go down while we enjoyed ourselves. I picked the filet and potatoes... are you even surprised? Lol, and my mom picked the Salmon which was amazing! We ended the night with chocolate bread pudding and yummy Key Lime Pie. We couldn't have asked for a better view or dinner. Thank you to Pelican Grand and OCEAN2000 for hosting us. The staff and waiter were amazing too! So helpful!

To end our stay, I had a 50 minute massage at PURE Spa which is the spa located in the hotel. It is on the 11th floor and the views are absolutely stunning. This is where I had my massage. I couldn't have asked for a prettier day either. This is the couples massage room, but they have an outdoor terrace that you can hang out during your appointments. Definitely recommend the spa if you take a trip!

This was the entrance to the resort!

That ended our stay at Pelican Grand Beach Resort. We had the best, most relaxing time! This hotel would be perfect for kids or a romantic couples getaway! There is so much to do in Fort Lauderdale and I promise you will never be bored. Keep an eye out for a blog post for all the FTL recommendations coming in the next few weeks! XO
