This blog post was long overdue - I have been so excited to show all of you the finished product since we started. I shared the before and after photos above and while we absolutely fell in love with the master bedroom when we toured the house for the first time, we just wanted to make it more us since we have been in the house for a year and knew exactly what we wanted.

Remember when I was chatting on insta-stories joking with Lane about putting hardwood floor down in our bedroom - I am actually SO happy we did. I think it looks so much more clean - and while Lane was hesitant (bedroom carpet lover), he is so happy we did it too. It has been so much better for our allergies. Seeing how much dog hair gets on the hardwood floor just goes to show how much was in the carpet and we didn't know. :P Now we vacuum like twice a day. LOL!

So when re-designing our bedroom, I KNEW I wanted to do a very light neutral grey. The master bedroom in our old house was grey and it was just so much more calm, sounds silly, but so true, but I didn't like the way the grey looked with the carpet. That's when I started hounding Lane about putting hardwood floor in. Everything else I wanted to be bright and airy! That's why we did white furniture and bedding, and I loveeeee the way the navy headboard looks with all the colors. Of course, I needed a pop of pink with the chair and the rug! I truly think the rug brings everything together.

The only thing left to do is figure out what to put on the left wall. I am pretty sure I want to take the photos down above the bed and do a gallery wall on the left wall. Just procrastinating because Lane HATES hanging photos, so I am trying to spare him a little bit. LOLOL! Anyone else's husband hate it too? I think that's my plan though and then maybe add a canvas above the bed. I also want light fixtures on the wall like below for each sides of our beds, but I haven't quite convinced Lane yet because it involves electrical work. LOL my projects just start becoming more and more - hehe!
