Top 10 Books of 2021

This is such a fun blog post for me to write! A lot of us have found our love for reading again this year together and it has been such a mood-relaxer, stress-reliever for me! I wanted to share with you the books that have made me LOVE reading this year. In total, I read 48 books since April (when I started my reading journey!), so I'd say I read quite a few and I can't wait to share my absolute FAVS with you!

I will say my love for reading came at a very random time. I was just scrolling Netflix and came across these cheesy After movies and chatted about it on Instagram that they were really corny but for some reason, I loved them and that's when you all told me they were made after books and I HAD to read the books - well I did, and that's how my love for reading happened. Since then, I have truly found my passion for reading and I am so thankful because if I didn't talk about these cheesy movies on Instagram, I would've never known.

If you want to check out all of the books I've read since this is just the top 10 books/series, I would recommend looking at my "book" highlight on Instagram where I share every single book I've read or my Goodreads account - name is Kristin Pressley!

The books I share are not in a certain order, I'm just sharing them in the order I read them so don't think the last ones I wouldn't recommend over the first ones I share! I rate these books 10/10 all the way, no questions asked and would recommend them over and over again! :) You can click on any of the books to purchase!

After Series by Anna Todd

This series is made up of 7 books, the 4 After Books, Before which is Harden's POV, and then Nothing More and Nothing Less which is Landon's POV. You have to read ALL of them to get the WHOLE story! I read all 7 books in 2 weeks and was legit heartbroken after because I was so attached to the characters. It truly made me love reading!

Off-Campus Series by Elle Kennedy

This series is made up of 5 books! The fifth book legit just came out like a few months ago and I pre-ordered it and it was more like a where are they at now follow-up! To be honest, I needed a series to take my mind off of the After series, and this was the best kept secret for that! I absolutely loved it! It follows a hockey team with the 4 main hot guys and each book is about a different dude but all the dudes are in all the books... if that makes sense. Lol the first 3 books were insanely good. I was not into the 4th book as much just because I didn't LOVE that guy! The follow up book (#5) was not the greatest either, but I def recommend reading to get the complete story. The first 3 books are worth the read for sure!

Briar-U Series by Elle Kennedy

Okay, keep up here.... lol, the Briar-U series is a spin-off of Off-Campus, same people, but this crowd was the "younger" crowd and not the main characters of Off-Campus, but all of them play a role even some of the people in the other series.. they are just not the main characters in Briar-U. To be completely honest, I liked this series more than I liked Off-Campus, but I think you should def read both! Theyre honestly amazing!

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoveer

My favorite Colleen Hoover book EVER! It's just the sweetest, most real relationship to me! I love all of CoHo's books but this is by far my favorite and one I will ALWAYS recommend first to get into reading! Her books are quick reads too - 2-3 days MAX!

The Miles High Club Series by T L Swan

Ahhh this series does NOT disappoint. Ooo baby! If you need a steamy read to get back into the groove of reading or just want to start - this is a good one! Quick reads - I read each of them in 2 days so about a week to read all of them! They are SO good! I would read them over again and again!

Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover

I honestly feel like this one is not talked about as much but it was absolutely one of my favorite CoHo books ever! Don't let the cover fool you because it is actually based on a beach which is probably one of the reasons why I love it! 10/10 recommend

Hopeless Series by Colleen Hoover

This series consists of Hopeless, Losing Hope, Finding Cinderella, All Your Perfects and then Finding Perfect. Some of them are legit like 100 pages but they all tie into the same story and I will tell you, YOU WILL CRY. A good cry! So much - I finished this series on a flight and let's just say I was sobbing... Lol

Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan

I read this book while I had Covid, lol, it's funny how you remember what you were doing when you were reading each book. I absolutely loved this book - I had so many people recommend it to me, and I honestly kept putting it off because I wanted to continue reading CoHo books and I wasn't ready for another author but wow, this book proved to me that I can have multiple favorite authors!

A Not So Meet Cute by Meghan Quinn

By far one of my favorite favorite favorite books! I 100% recommend, super steamy but overall great story! I read this one on a whim and SO happy I did. One of my favs from 2021 for sure!

The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

I have seen this book floating around SINCE I started reading and the cover was just never appealing to me but I am SO happy I read it. Technically I started this book in 2021, but finished it in 2022 haha! I just wanted to add it here :) I loved it, such a sweet and romantic book!

A few books/series I want to read in 2022:

  • The Guilt Trip

  • The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

  • The Kiss Quotient

  • Kings of Rittenhouse Series

  • Every Last Secret

  • Madison Kate Series

  • Crossfire Series

  • Mister Series

  • Sinners of Saints Series

  • Hannaford Prep Series

Feel free to leave any recommendations in the comments XO
